June Jammies - A friend from out of town, Birthday celebrations and more...

Tuesday, July 03, 2018

June heralds the end of the first half of the year. Out with the old, in with the new as they say! June was a month of gatherings and birthdays for me, and it was pretty tame for me. Transition period as they say!

First of was Uncle's birthday at the start of the month.

We went to Collins, which is a home-grown western food brand based out of Northpoint City. The queues at dinner time were horrendous I must say, but the food and the decent prices make up for it.

The pork ribs.

Lamb chops!

Pizza was half Collin's special and half Seafood extravaganza.

Also had the seafood mix platter, which is worth its own shot.

Really fun time spending time with everyone - family, the cousin and auntie and uncle.

Next up, we had a friend flying in from Indo/Aussie!

First up was dinner at Bird/MBS.

They're apparently famous for their fried chicken but I didn't manage to have the fried chicken with waffles dish, which is what you apparently need to get when you're at Bird.

The money shot with all these fwens. Great fun catching up.

Another friend flew in from Jakarta this month!

Dinner was at Jumbo Seafood; had a selection of XO Prawns, spinach with salted egg yolk, jellyfish and bamboo clams. Yummay.

The night ended at Zouk/Capital which needless to say was a hoot, with street dancers such as this enthusiastic gentleman over here.

That one time we had cold sesame noodles for lunch.

I made kimchi fried rice for the first time ever!

Unwinding and taking a break with a salad.

Will miss this view of Raffles Place. :(

Next we have these mindless self-appreciation shots that boost your self-confidence. Haaaah.

And we end off this post with a courtesy shot of BUNNY LOAF!!! Birthdays and friends from out of town~ That's all for this month's round up guys. Toodleloo!

Adventure to the Balkans Travelogue Pt. 1: Zagreb, Croatia

Hola at you readers! It's me, Sasha Bear here - and today we're FINALLY going to post about my trip to the Balkans circa Octo...

Quote I Love

“To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
