1) Hermes Clic-Clac
Official Name: Hermes Clic H Rainbow Bracelet
Hermes is a brand that needs no introduction. Founded in 1837 by Thierry Hermes in Paris, France, it started as an atelier that fashioned equine leather saddles for horses. Their original clientele included European noblemen, and gradually, even the Czars of Russia. Its first piece of fashion, was a leather zipper golf jacket for then Prince of Wales, Edward VIII. In the 1920s, it branched out into making accessories and fashion. In the following years, it started making several iconic pieces of fashion, such as the Hermes scarf, the Kelly bag, among others.
The Hermes Clic-Clac (as fans so lovingly call the Hermes Clic H Enamel Bracelet) was introduced in 2014 and has become one of the hallmarks of the brand's accessories. It comes in 3 widths and over 100 colours and is palladium-plated to prevent rust or deterioration.
Suggestion: The medium width Clic-Clac in its most popular colours: baby pink, Hermes orange, black, and white. Pair with a watch on the other hand and a Hermes scarf over a white shirt or dual-set (cardigan and dress).
2) Hermes CDC
Official Name: Hermes Collier de Chien
Sleek, polished, with a hint of punk rock - these are the few words that come to mind while looking at the Colliers de Chien Hermes bracelet - or as it's fondly known as the Hermes CDC. On the website, it states that the classic black CDC is "Bracelet in Box calfskin with gold plated Medor pyramid studs and ring, adjustable closure. Wrist size approx. 6.7"
With superior stitching on its edges and non-oxidizing gold plating on the studs, the CDC comes in several classic colours in Box calfskin model - ombre, bleu Brighton, noir, orange, deep blue. It also has 3 different finishes, Gold (GHW), Palladium (PHW) and Rose Gold (RGHW) in many assortments of colours and sizes.
Suggestion: Pair a black CDC with an LBD for a hint of edge for a night out. Or pair an orange (Hermes' official colour) CDC with a summer outfit for a date with friends.
3) Cartier Love Bracelet
Cartier is another brand that is synonymous with luxury and style. It was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier and now has grown to 200 stores worldwide in 125 countries. It is known as the "Jeweller of Kings" as the brand has a long history of sales to royalty. For King Edward VII of Great Britain's coronation in 1902, he ordered 27 tiaras and issued a royal warrant to Cartier in 1904. Similar warrants were soon issued from the courts of Spain, Portugal, Russia, Siam, the House of Orleans, and so on.
The love bracelet (and ring) is extremely popular among the millennial crowd. Manga fans of the series Nana would remember the iconic scene where she wears a lock on a chain, with the lock's key being held by only one person in the world - her lover. The concept of "Inseparable Love" is similar to the Cartier Love bracelet, which has 2 screws only removable by the lover who holds the screwdriver, otherwise remaining "locked" on the wrist of the wearer.
The love bracelet comes in many wrist sizes to suit the wearer and finishes in Yellow Gold, White Gold, Rose Gold and embellishes such as diamonds or sapphires.
Suggestion: Stacking is popular with the Cartier Love Bracelets, by wearing several bracelets in the same finishing or with other brands of bracelets or wristlets. Opt for a Coachella or Burning Man vibe by pairing the bracelet with cowboy boots and festival wear.
4) Cartier Juste un Clou Bracelet
The Juste un Clou is a modern and daring envisioning of what Cartier jewellery can be. Available in colours Rose Gold, Yellow Gold and White Gold, the bracelet is for the 21st-century woman who has adventure in her veins.
