[Review] Icon Aesthetics Laser Lipo Review 2022

My dear ladies (and gentlemen of course), I'm sure you've read my post comparing the top forms of non-invasive slimming and today, I'm going to review my latest experience with a Singaporean aesthetic clinic named Icon Aesthetics, located in Wisma Atria. Come on in!

So for people new to slimming procedures and needing a quick refresher, there are a few terms I would like to explain:

Non-invasive/Invasive: Invasiveness refers to whether the procedure physically inserts/cuts/etc into your body compared to non-invasive procedures, which are just superficial treatments that are just at your skin's surface. E.g. An injection from a needle, or an operation is invasive, while facials and massages are non-invasive.

Liposuction/Lipo: Traditionally, lipo refers to the removal of subdermal fats in your problem areas like the tummy, thighs or underarms. It is usually invasive and is performed under anesthesia with a cannula (a thin metal tube-like metallic straw) that suctions your fats away.

This now brings us to today's review with Icon Aesthetics. My package is called the Laser Lipo treatment, and it's a non-invasive form of lipo called Laser Lipo. Laser lipo uses paddings that deliver laser and heat to melt fat from underneath your skin. This is a slower form of weight loss and sculpting compared to traditional invasive lipo, but it is much more bearable as there is no downtime and no pain involved! In a nutshell, the laser is in the form of heat which dissolves your fat from underneath your skin, and the liquefied fats are passed out in your excrement.

Pros of Laser Lipo:

1) No downtime: Each session is 30 minutes and done in the comfort of their clean and well-established salon.
2) No pain: If you're like me who can't tolerate facial extractions and is just slightly worse to wear with Brazilian waxing, then laser lipo is for you. There is no pain, just heat!
3) Natural results: As each cycle of the session lasts around 2.5 months, slimming will be gradual and you don't have to worry about friends, family or co-workers noticing that you "got some work" done!

Cons of Laser Lipo:

1) Soft stools and increased thirst: You will notice that you would be visiting the washroom much more often after the treatments. Also, you will need to consume much more water to replenish the liquids in the fats that you've lost.
2) Repeated sessions: You would need at the minimum, 3 sessions to see results. As the fat lipolysis is gradual, a few sessions are needed.
3) Targeted areas become soft, then toned: Best paired with exercise to increase the passing out of liquefied fats through sweat and excrement, it's suggested that you exercise moderately to speed up the results. However, you will notice that stubborn fats (hardened fatty tissues) will soften before the liquefied fat is passed out.

If you're looking for a moderately quick way to shed some weight, then laser lipo is the service for you. My sessions are with aesthetician Angie and are always so nice because she is so patient and accomodating to me! And the good thing about Icon Aesthetics is that they have a very affordable first-timers' promo before you decide to commit to a program!

Quote I Love

“To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
