Hola amigos!

It's the end of another week, so more peektures for a round up of all the places I've been this week.

Monday

The Secret Mermaid. So we bought two drinks and some truffle fries and a corn dog. It was Singapore Cocktail week so they were doing some promo on the drinks. Little did we know how awful the drinks were. There was this milo and moonshine infusion that was absolutely putrid, 10/10 would not recommend. The food was so-so and the space was really tiny like it can sit only 15 people max?

Friday

Jumping to Friday. Had chirashi don at this Japanese restaurant at Tanjong Pagar and it was quite special because they have free flow side dishes and tempura.

Went to Hopscotch next, this bar near Ann Siang. Check out the menu, it's so friggin' cute, it's like a comic book haha.

This is a cocktail called the surprise.

A glass of prosecco for me.

Next we went to Operation Dagger, a secret bar off Club Street/Ann Siang. It's basically a door in the wall that leads to the basement, where the bar is located. Really cool concept except it's quite tiny as well and whenever anyone fried stuff in the open concept kitchen the smell filled the whole place.

Had a pineapple-infused cocktail and a glass of white wine.

Ended the night at Altaego and then Suite 26. The music was banging I have to say and it was suuuuper lit.

Saturday

Went to coffee at Tiong Bahru Bakery at City Hall. Ordered a flat white, lemon tartlet and raspberry tart and it was alllll good. Super delicious, especially the lemon tart, which is their house specialty.

Then off to dinner at Ce La Vie, where Kudeta used to be. Check out the view from the 57th floor. It was amazeballs!!!

The went to check out the iLight exhibition around the promenade/riverside.

Can't really see because it's backlit but these are the really pretty wings I took a photo against.

Giant moon!

And well well well, what do you know, ended up at Suite 26 again.

With my Frodo. HAHA!!

Balling damn hard I have to say.

They have a dressing room in their toilets and that's pretty awesome!

Sunday

Dad's birthday lunch at Mandarin Hotel's Shin Hanten up on the 33rd floor.

Peking duck rolls and salmon yum!

Abalone.

Spicy wantons.

Szechuan fish. More like Szechuan chilli and bean sprouts because the fish slices were no where in sight?! Haha.

That's all for now. Inching closer and closer to Japan now, can almost taste the Sakura-scented air. Hehe. Been an awesome week meeting new people and reconnecting with old ones as well. My juniors just announced their engagement on Facebook?? The two from my business camp days where I was a fake freshie. That was like, super heartwarming but at the same time making me wonder what I'm doing with my life haha. Sadness. Oh well. New week tomorrow lezzgo!

Adventure to the Balkans Travelogue Pt. 1: Zagreb, Croatia

Hola at you readers! It's me, Sasha Bear here - and today we're FINALLY going to post about my trip to the Balkans circa Octo...

Quote I Love

“To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
