Sunday, November 13, 2022

Okay guys (and ladies) - I know I have been neglecting my blog and some of you are awaiting my long overdue May/June travelogues to Phuket and Bali (I will post them soon, promise!). And there's also my annual yearly round-up as per the tradition of Speak to me in Kisses (my blog name, in case you were wondering).

But before all that, I'd like to write an update on my experience with Adisha Torre, my facialist, as I am nearing my (current) package with them ever since starting 2 years ago! Click on the "Continue Reading" link below to read my post!

3 Types of Body Washes for Smoother Skin

Friday, January 07, 2022

Today's topic will be a subject close to many ladies' hearts - our skin! And not just the skin on our faces, like many of my past posts, are about, including ways to look like you're wearing makeup without actually using makeup, achieving glass/mochi skin and also places where you can get great facials, such as at New York Skin Solutions or Adisha Torre, two of the facial places I frequent.

From the picture above, you're probably wondering what today's topic might be. This is a painting of Cleopatra by artist Gerard de Lairesse - she was famous for both her beauty and wits, and legend has it that she actually avoided having a war with Julius Caesar and his forces by rolling herself in a carpet and getting it delivered to his quarters! And of course, her skin was dazzling. So today, we will be talking about both ancient and more technologically-advanced ingredients for good overall skin on your body. Come on in!

#2021 Flashback - 22 Things

Monday, January 03, 2022

2021 was a sobering year. I started to get more responsibilities, whether I knew of them or not, in both my private and professional life. I cut off an unhealthy part of my life - mostly the boozing and fraternizing (wow what a bombastic word!). I organized my life around the people who mattered, in both my personal and work lives. Here's a 2021 recap of what happened in the year. Come on in~

August is always a month of abundance. In Asian culture, the number 8 is associated with luck and infinity, the latter of which suggests wholeness and prosperity. In today's post, I'm sharing some of my non-sponsored August beauty products - an all-purpose facial mist, a scalp-purifying shampoo and a long-lasting, oil-based perfume. Come on in!

This is part 2 in my series on weight-loss solutions without exercise. The first post did pretty well, and if you're looking for moderate dieting advice, please click on the link to check out a simple short-term diet you can do to lose weight (you can lose up to 3kg in a week!), and some of the science behind weight-loss. This post, however, will compare some of the non-invasive slimming techniques that you can use to slim yourself down without heavy dieting or exercise. These are some of the treatments that weight-loss salons, like Bella Marie France or Cheryl W, use for slimming on their clients. I've been to a few of these just to check them out. I was sceptical, like most of my readers, until I actually tried them... (Yes, the beauty junkie in me has tried all 5 of these treatments over the years...) Come on in to find out more!

I'm sure a lot of the ladies out there have the same haircare issues as me. Today in this heavy-hitting 3-in-1 post, I will be recommending a product each to solve your Itchy, Frizzy, and Brassy hair. (Btw, this post is not sponsored in any way, shape, or form! Adventure to the Balkans Travelogue Pt. 1: Zagreb, Croatia

Hola at you readers! It's me, Sasha Bear here - and today we're FINALLY going to post about my trip to the Balkans circa Octo...

Quote I Love

“To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
